A well-functioning project management system is a proven necessity for every clinical research project: it promotes and ensures the effective and streamlined conduct of a clinical study while simultaneously safeguarding scarce resources and preventing an unwarranted financial burden and unnecessary waste. Resources that help sponsor-investigators and investigators to set up the right project management activities are scarce, and only a few of these resources interconnect the different perspectives relevant to a clinical research project.
