Each year, the SCTO Statistics & Methodology Platform runs a competition for statisticians in the SCTO’s Network to develop codes or programmes that will ultimately help improve clinical research and bring fresh solutions to persisting difficulties.
Congratulations to the 2024 grant winners, Alan Haynes and Sämi Schär.
{randolist} Package by Alan Haynes (DCR-CTU Bern)
The R package randolist will provide good support for producing stratified, block randomisation lists, where block sizes are chosen proportional to Pascals Triangular. It notably contains functions to convert the generated list to the formats required by REDCap and SecuTrial and generate automatic reports of the randomisation.
Publication Ready Summary Table with {summarySAKK} Package by Sämi Schär (SAKK)
The R package summarySAKK will deliver highly customisable summary tables for different variable types and data formats. It will be compatible with Quarto, especially with Word output, enabling efficient, reproducible and dynamic reporting.
The statistical programming grant is offered by the SCTO’s Statistics & Methodology Platform.
