Technological advances, boosted by the COVID-19 pandemic, have made decentralised clinical trials (DCTs) and complex trial designs more common. These methods, which use telemedicine and digital tools, improve trial efficiency and patient focus. However, challenges remain, including data security, tool validation, regulatory consistency, and the resource demands of complex trials.
